If I didn’t know better, I’d swear this was my sister’s Very Worst Job story. Exactly the same deal with her, at a well-known daycare. I wonder if it was the same chain?

I think you should write to the newspaper and out this place! As a parent it terrifies me to hear things like this. Please let the parents whose children go there know what’s going on~!!!!

I think it’s really hideous that they’d fire someone for “child abuse” if no abuse had occurred… that’s the sort of thing that, if it leaks, could result in serious trouble, and even if you can prove it, you’re still stuck with the stigma. I’m glad you’re out of there (relatively) unscathed!

Ugh, working with kids is awful, and not cuz of the kids! I was fired because I had the flu, and didn’t not want to infect children. I knew all their parents, I don’t think they wanted me there either, oh well. That job sucked.
