I haven’t read one story on here yet where the OP complains about having to do their job. I have seen countless stories about bosses demanding that people do pointless work just so they look busy. That’s moronic and yes, demeaning. Sometimes there is NO work to be done. Demanding that employees constantly create the illusion that there is always something to be done is just an idiotic tactic used by power hunger bosses who probably shouldn’t be managing their own lives, let alone a business.

Also, the boss that was spying on the shop from the above level was just weird. If someone doesn’t trust their own judgment about the people they hired to do a job, they should cut out the middle man and do the job their damn selves.

How do you “drop classes” in high school? Perhaps it’s different elsewhere but where I went to school, we couldn’t just drop a class and call it a day like it’s college.

@Jeannie – I’m guessing the OP was irritated by middle-aged women being his only co-workers because he was a teenage kid looking to get laid. Plus, young guys seem to just think all women over 30 are simply wastes of space. I’m guessing we should all just kill ourselves after that age to appease them.

Honestly, the job doesn’t sound all that bad. At least you weren’t standing on your feet for eight to ten hours a day.

@Larz Blackman – It’s clear you didn’t read the story. The OP didn’t want to date her boss because he was a sleaze who had a girlfriend. How do you think that situation would have ended considering the gf freaked and confronted her when nothing happened.

It’s also obvious from your comment that you’re yet another creep who asks women out at the job because you think them being civil to you (because they’re forced to be around you) means they want to bang you. Then when you get turned down because you’re gross, you act like all women play games with you. The reality is you’re nasty and ugly.

This is so crazy to me. I also had a Pizza job when I was 16 and it was EXACTLY like this. Even to the point of the managers giving me hugs when I went to pick up my paychecks. And constantly saying they would like to “pop my cherry”. Finally, when one of them grabbed my butt several times one night, I told my boyfriend about it, and he called corporate and got them fired. I still quit my job there though, it was just way too uncomfortable.

If you can’t afford tipping your server you should eat at home or at Burger King. I thought African American is the bad tipper, but here in Raleigh, NC, the Indian (yep the one from India) are the worst tipper. They want the extra of this the extra of that on their meals, what a tightwad bunch of ignorant.
